This might have been my longest period of time away from the KPFK airwaves since Melting Pot started…42 DAYS! Needless to say, it was nice to be back, especially since during that time there’s quite a lot of vinyl that I’d added to my collection. Our traditional end of the month, all-vinyl, show was the perfect time to return to be able to share a good bit of those discoveries with y’all. In fact, the entire second hour features music that I dug up in Havana, Cuba! Although I did get to play a number of my favorite things I got down there, there’s so much more to share (look for much more on that front this coming week).
